Mike's House

Mike closed on his house this past week, which is so exciting! He won't be moving in until next weekend. It's a large house, built in the 1930s and enlarged in the early 1990s. It's in the Clintonville neighborhood, which is one of the most sought after in Columbus.

The previous owners had some nice landscaping. There are even basil and some tomatoes out front (behind the shrubs).

He'd like to spruce up some of the rooms with more updated colors, so I took a bunch of "before" photos so we can later compare them with the "after" photos. The kitchen will also have to be updated, which is one of his remodeling priorities.

Nice house... although I am not loving that giant mirror above the fireplace... he needs one with a frame, and a bit more charm :)

Absolutely! He actually would like to have the paint on the wood around the fireplace stripped to go back to natural wood color and to replace the tiles in front of the hearth.
